Some say Disas will grow where it is dry and some say humidity is important for good culture.  Some of the best Disas I have ever seen (besides mine) grow within spiting distance of the Pacific Ocean. ( I try not to think bout how much salt is in the air.) I seem to find that they tolerate high temperatures better when the humidity is high. In fact, I cool my greenhouse by the use of a high pressure misting system.  Works well.
